Hi I'm Roger Partridge

I'm the youngest of 12. I was baptised at 16. I'm a giant Nerd. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I enjoy reading all kinds of books. Including Comic books I honestly just love stories of Superheroes and kind of good Stories in general. I also love learning new things 5 things I love learning the most about are The Gospel,Nerdy stuff(Comic Books,Video games,Etc.),Engineering(Mostly Robotics and Electronic),Psychology, and Law in that order of Importance. Always kind of wanted to own some kind of nerdy hang out store but I also want to go to college to Learn more about Engineering,Psychology and law. I'm bored easy and easily entertained Kind of weird which I blame on the fact I'm the youngest of 12 older siblings who are all some of the most amazing talented people you will ever have the joy of meeting and I've just always wanted to be more like them and get along with them. I'm also currently serving a mission in The GREAT Utah Salt Lake City South Mission! Which is one of the most amazing and funnest things I've ever done.

Why I am a Mormon

Well there is a lot of reasons why I am a Mormon a lot of Miracles I have personally seen and a Testimony that has come and grown with much effort on mine and my parents part. But the Main reason I am a Mormon is simply because when I kneel down to say my Prayers every Night I ask Heavenly Father Which is the true church and every time with out fail He send the Holy Ghost like a fire inside me to tell me this gospel is true. I'm really not here cause of a certain miracle or even cause my parents love this gospel those two things just made me ask the question they made me think and ponder the scriptures to learn for my self. That is why I serve a mission that is why I testify every chance I get because I know just as easily as I know I breath air or that gravity holds me down that I have a Loving Heavenly Father who sent his son to die for me so that I might have a chance to return to him though this the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. now while you are reading this if you have a minute kneel down and say a pray to your Heavenly Father and ask him if he is there and if he loves you I know he will answer you with a powerful yes. If you don't know how to pray look for young men/women wearing black name tags or try to get in contact with missionaries anyway you know how.

How I live my faith

Back home I lived my faith kind of generally just going to church, reading my scriptures, and praying as often as I can to my Heavenly Father. Those are kind of like the First stepping stones of the gospel. Then you get to do service for other people by Holding a 'Calling' like my current calling to be a Missionary For the Church. I get the wonderful Opportunity to teach people about the gospel just like my Family was. and I get to serve everyone around me.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Roger Partridge
The simple way to answer this is think of yourself as going down the road driving and then you see red and blue light so you pull over as does the other car and you wait for the person who pulled you over to come to your window and when you look at who it is it's an Ice Cream Truck Driver he proceeds to write you a ticket and hand it to you then walks off.... Now the thing wrong with this is that this man is not an Officer of the government so he does not have the Authority to pull you over and write you a ticket even if he wants to. God work Similarly he's not gonna let any man or woman go around baptizing who ever They want to. Baptism is a Sacred Ordinance of God it requires the same thing all miracles of god require. A worthy representative and the original Priesthood of God that allows you to perform miracles in his name Just as Jesus Christ and his Apostles had. Sadly for a lil while after Jesus and the Apostles Died we Didn't have it there was no Priesthood on the Earth. Untill it was restored in 1829 Given to Joseph Smith by John the Baptist(He Gave him the Aaronic Priesthood or Lesser Preisthood, named after Aaron in the Old Testament. It includes the authority to preach the gospel of repentance and to baptize.) and by Christ Apostles Peter,James, and John(Who gave him the Melchizedek Priesthood, named after Melchizedek in the Old Testament. It includes the authority to preside over the Church and to perform all ordinances, including giving the gift of the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
