Hi I'm Madeleine

I grew up in Arkansas. I'm a BYU student and an older sister. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Madeleine McWhorter, and I'm 19 years old. I've lived in multiple places but I call Springdale, Arkansas home. I just finished up my freshman year at Brigham Young University majoring in mechanical engineering! I love running, singing, baking, rock-climbing, reading, and traveling. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I will be serving a full time mission for my church for the next 18 months in the beautiful country of Sweden!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a personal testimony of the Book of Mormon. It has answered my deepest questions and through reading it, I have felt the Spirit touch my heart. I look forward to studying the scriptures everyday because it brings me peace. I've seen the blessings that believing in this gospel have brought me in my own life. I know that by abiding to the precepts described in the Book of Mormon and applying the Atonement in our everyday lives, we can overcome our challenges and weaknesses and find true happiness. I have a strong personal testimony of this. I also know that families can be sealed together forever. I want this for my family someday, and that is why I am a Mormon. I want to share with others the hope that the restored gospel has brought me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending my weekly meetings and striving to magnify the callings I receive. I most recently served as the ward choir director in my college YSA ward. I love spending time getting to know the young women. I served on various councils during high school and college and loved to help organize ward and stake activities for the youth and YSA.
