Hi I'm Shaylee Gleave

I grew up in one of the smallest towns in Utah. I am called to serve in the Oregon Portland Mission. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am very passionate about sports. Since my school was small, I had the opportunity to participate in every sport provided! I competed in basketball, volleyball, track and field, cross-country, cheerleading, and softball. My whole family is very athletic. We also love to be outdoors; fishing, hunting, and boating. I have attended one year of college and am currently preparing to serve in the Oregon Portland Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Heavenly Father has blessed me with the most amazing family. My wonderful grandparents and parents have inspired me in many ways. I was raised in the gospel. I attended church every Sunday, but was never forced to. My loving and supportive parents have helped me become accountable for making good decisions by letting me make my own decisions and telling me when they are proud of me. This became something I wanted to hear throughout my life. They express their love for me often, which also helps me feel of the love my Heavenly Father has for me. I bear testimony that Jesus is the Christ, our Savior, and Redeemer. Memorizing "The Living Christ" has helped me to always remember Him and His great atoning sacrifice for us. I know that the restoration of the true gospel of Jesus Christ was brought forth by the Prophet Joseph Smith. He translated the Book of Mormon, which is another testament of Jesus Christ. I have read it, prayed about it, and confirmed in my own heart and mind that it is true. Our Heavenly Father loves us with a pure love. He hears and answers each of our sincere prayers, Jesus Christ being our advocate. He knows our hearts. How lucky we are to have a loving Heavenly Father who has blessed us with temples, eternal families, a Living Prophet to lead and guide us, and literally everything that we have. I have been so blessed to know of the love that Heavenly Father and the Savior, Jesus Christ, have for me. I can't wait to share the love that I have received with those whom I will serve on my mission. I love my Savior, I love my Heavenly Father, I love my eternal family, and I love the gospel with all my heart. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I participate in my ward and community by trying not to pass up an opportunity to serve. I sign up to clean the church and help, every year, set up for our county fair. I love attending the sports practices of the youth in my community and helping them in any way that I can.
