Hi I'm Mayanin Pazos

I was raised in Mexico. I help people discover their individual worth. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest child of 5. I have 2 brothers, 2 sisters and 2 loving parents. I graduated college in April of 2016. I was born in the USA, but raised in Mexico. I enjoy listening to stories that the people around me have to share, through it I learn valuable lessons of life and about the different personalities. I love to serve my family, friends, community, at church and even strangers.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this gospel, I never really knew anything else other than the teaching I have had here. I thought that knowing this was to have a testimony, but I was wrong. As grew older, talking about religion was a common subject with my friends, classmates and teachers. When I had to share about my beliefs, I felt embarrassed. I had that feeling for 6 years of my life then I graduated high school and I decided that it was time for me to understand why this is the true church of Jesus Christ and why parents decided to raise me in this religion. I started with the Prophet Joseph Smith and the restoration of the gospel. This change my persective of the church completely! I studied his life, his teachings, church history and any information I could get involving the prophet on the church´s website, books, manuals and talks. I meditated, prayed, fasted and asked questions to church leaders about certain events and principles I could not understand. With time, patience, dedication and faith in prayer I received confirmation, of the pieces of truth I could obtain, that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, and only with the helping hand of God, he could restore the fullness of the gospel on this earth. I received my testimony of the Book of Mormon being another testament of Jesus Christ and complementing the teachings of the Bible. This is the only church the lets you find our for self, through prayer and research, the truth of every principle that is taught here. This is the only church that gives all the tools to search for answers and teaches you how to recognize those answers. I did it and now not only to I have a testimony, but I have a strong bond with my Heavenly Father and my savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Service is a quality that can describe me because of the various activities and responsibilities I have been a part of. Since I was 12 I had the opportunity to work and serve girls my age with my sister. Me and my sister had the responsibility to care for the young girls of our group, we had to create activities where they could get involved and learn about their individual worth, their divine potencial as daughters of God and how they can accomplish their goal with the help of our Savior, Jesus Christ. The lessons I took from this was that everyone has something to offer, either materially, culturally, intelectually or spiritually we just have to give them the opportunity to do it. I learn to not judge appearances, but to value the person as they are and make time to get to know them and hear them out, to have a better understanding of who this person is and why he or she is this way. Creating strong freindships is the biggest blessing I recieved by serving them.
