Hi I'm Kelsey

I've grown up in the Northwest. I'm a daughter, sister, and future teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have had the blessing of growing up in the northwest, specifically Oregon. My parents and three younger siblings love to do things outside. One of our favorite vacation spots is in around Bend, OR. This love for camping around Bend, OR is because I swam there competitively. Swimming is my life I have participated through my high school and my college's inter mural program. One could say I like swimming a lot. On a side note I am going to college. I've been working on a undergraduate degree for biology education, with an aim to teach high school students.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has really helped bring a purpose and hope for my life. With all that might be wrong in my life, it's been through Jesus Christ that I have found strength and peace in those moments where I can't see the end. Even in the high moments I can find Christ in every detail of my joy and happiness. He is what makes everything possible, I know that when I pray and read my scriptures that I can come closer to understanding Him and my relationship with Him.

How I live my faith

Well with being a teacher, the Lord has given me many opportunities to teach children in my homeward, Sunday school in a few of my young single adult wards/branches. These opportunities have allowed me to literally share the gospel and doctrine of Jesus Christ. I love attending church for all of the three hours, because I can learn so much from personal study and those called to teach. I have had the opportunity to grow up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I participated in primary (ages 4-11) learning songs and stories about the Savior and the reasons I would want to follow the Him. While in Young Womans (youth girls ages 12-18) I learned about my role as a daughter of God the Eternal Father, and worked with the youth to serve others in the church, community, and the city. There is so much to do show my faith in our Savior.
