Hi I'm Zachary

I grew up in Providence, Utah. I love to play and watch sports. I love my family. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have graduated high school and have plans to attend a university one day. I enjoy playing and watching sports and occasionally watching TV. I am an Eagle Scout and have participated in our local "churchball" games for the past few years, which has grown a bond with my brothers in our neighborhood.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this church all my life, but I didn't know for myself if this was the church that is Jesus Christ's church. I was taught to read the Book of Mormon and that by reading and praying to God for an answer that I would be able to find out for myself. One day we were at my Cousin's church meeting, who was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and my cousin was talking in church and he challenged us to Read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it was true. I had just finished the Book of Mormon so that night I kneeled down and prayed to God if this book is true and if that means that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints contained the full truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. After the prayer I was flipping through the scriptures and I stopped at the testimony of The witnesses and of Joseph Smith. And as I read their words I felt a peace come over my heart and I knew that no mortal man would make up a story that was all about Jesus Christ and testifying of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon brought similar and even greater feelings to my heart that comes from reading the Bible. Both of these scriptures must be from God and no from mortal men. It is because of that ability to gain a personal belief and knowledge. Knowing that we don't just have to believe the words of mortal men and that we get our own witness of the truth is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am an Assistant to the President for our Prepare to Share Conference, which is an event where all youth that are 16-18 come and learn how to share the gospel even if they don't see serving a Mission because as members of this church we are to share this wonderful message with everyone. I am also the first assistant in the our youth group and have enjoyed watching our quorum grow physically and spiritually.
