Hi I'm Samuel Semadeni

I grew up in Star Valley, Wyoming. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the middle child of seven. I loved my high school sports teams in which I was on two state championship teams for football and wrestling. I enjoy drawing and won a blue ribbon at the Wyoming high school State Art Symposium. I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking, camping, hunting, and fishing.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I was born into the Church, so that means that my parents were members before I was born. I decided to get baptized and to continue on in the Church because it is what I felt the Lord wanted me to do. In my seminary class, which is another place like church where high school students are taught the Gospel, we have this thing called March Madness, where we read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover in month of March. As I read and studied the Book of Mormon with this intensity, I felt closer to my Savior than I had ever before. At the end of the month, I spent a long time praying about the book I had just read, wanting to know if it was, indeed, true. After the prayer, I just felt a calm peaceful feeling come over me, letting me know that what I had read was true, and that everything was going to be okay. I want you, and the world, to know that I have a testimony of Jesus Christ. He lived! I know of a surety that He loves each and everyone of his children, no matter how far they may have strayed from His path. I know that Jesus suffered for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane, and died on the cross so that we may return to live with our Heavenly Father as a resurrected, and perfect being. I know that we can be forgiven of our sins if we exercise the Atonement in our lives. And a leave this Testimony with you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

In the Priesthood, I served as the Deacons Quorum president, secretary and first counselor in the a Teachers Quorum, and secretary, second assistant, and first assistant to the Bishop in the Priests Quorum. (These are all callings and offices in our Church Organization.) I served as the Chairmen of the Afton Stake Youth Council and organized meetings to plan and discuss stake activities for the youth such as dances, service projects, and other social gatherings. I also do monthly home teaching with my father as a companion. This is where we visit with families that we are assigned to keep an eye out for their personal/family needs and to also share a spiritual message with them.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Samuel Semadeni
The Atonement of Jesus Christ is that He went and suffered for our sins so that we would not have to suffer for them ourselves. Because he did this, we are able to use the gift of repentance and apply it to our lives. Jesus Christ is also able to plead on our behalf to the Father during Judgement, if we use this gift he has provided for us. Show more Show less
