Hi I'm Skyler Platt

I was born in Ogden, Utah. Raised near Portland, Oregon. Going on a mission in Arcadia, California. You guessed it, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Skyler. I have been assigned to labor as a missionary in the California, Arcadia mission. I depart for the Mexico MTC on June 28, 2016. After My mission, I will be attending BYU. I love to ride dirt bikes, go snowboarding and skiing, serve the Lord, and hang out with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know that God loves each of us here on this earth. The church teaches us that we are able to speak to our Heavenly Father through prayer. I have put this to the test, and God has shown me that He truly does care about me, and that He has always been, and will always be there for me. I love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for all that they have done for me. Including allowing me to have trials in my life. Without those trials, I wouldn't be the man that I am today. I am grateful for trials because they help me become closer to God as I rely on him, through faith, to help me get through those trials.

How I live my faith

The past few months, I have had the opportunity of being a Ward Missionary. As I have been preparing for my mission, I have been able to go out with the Elders and teach investigators of the church about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and their love for us. I have learned how to rely on the Lord, and to Listen to the Holy Ghost as I have been serving as a Ward Missionary.
