Hi I'm Jared Stark

I'm from Colorado Springs, Colorado. I study business at BYU. I'll start serving a mission in Málaga, Spain on May 31, 2016.

About Me

I am preparing to serve as a full time missionary in the Spain Málaga Mission. I recently completed my first year of college at BYU and plan to pursue a business degree when I return. As a Colorado native, I've developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of the natural world. I have played the piano, trombone, and baritone at various points in my life. I enjoy following politics and am a definitely bit of a tech nerd.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born and raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I have still undergone my own personal conversion to the Gospel. It has been a gradual conversion, and one that is still ongoing. I have read the Book of Mormon, prayed about it, and know that it is true. I know that Joseph Smith truly was a prophet called by God. I know that revelation is still given to us through our modern day prophet. There's a million different gospel topics that I could bear my testimony about, but it all boils down to my firm knowledge that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is indeed Jesus Christ's church and the kingdom of God on Earth.

How I live my faith

I take the charge to "magnify my calling" very seriously. Whether it's through specific responsibility, as a home teacher, or through my calling to be a disciple of Christ, I strive to put the needs of others in front of my own when it comes to church service. I have been fortunate enough to be able to use and develop my own talents through my service. This has included many responsibilities, such as being a music coordinator and pianist, as well as assisting with ward finances and membership organization. I am so grateful for the chances that the Church has given me to be able to put the spirit of service to practice.
