Hi I'm Jared Willets

I grew up in midway Utah. I am an Eagle Scout. I like to do graphic design. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to work with computers I love creating things in Photoshop and adobe illustrator. I really enjoy 3D modeling and animation. I like to create applications and games. I love to bike, play tennis, swim, golf and go hiking. I love to travel with friends and family. I love going to the beach. After serving a mission in Tokyo Japan I plan on attending BYU. I have an older sister and an older brother, and I have 2 younger sisters.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I grew up in the LDS church i went through a time in my life when I wondered if what I had always known had been true. So I decided to find out for myself. Through a lot of fasting, reading the scriptures and praying to know if it was true I finally received an answer. My experience wasn't like an angel coming down from heaven and testifying to me of the truthfulness of the gospel. It was a calming presence quietly but surely testifying that what I had learned is true.

How I live my faith

I attend church every week. I love to go to Wednesday night activities with friends and family. I attend weekly mission prep courses with my ward and with my friends. I go to seminary 2-3 times a week. I occasionally teach lessons in some of my Sunday meetings. I strive to remain righteous so that I can serve the people of my ward.

What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Jared Willets
The church welfare system really is there to help others. It helps to not only care for those people who are in need it also helps to promote self-reliance. When those who need assistance they are asked to work (If they are able) so that they can be blessed, and also bless the lives of those around them. Working is one of the main focuses of the Church's welfare program. It not only helps them to be ok during a hard time but helps put them back on their feet so that they can continue and be better off later. Show more Show less
