Hi I'm Clark

I live in Utah, USA and am a retired educator. I started a high school for math and science students. I am proud to be a Mormon.

About Me

I am an educator by profession and by love! I taught high school science for many years and have worked as an administrator and early college high school Principal for 11 years. I love working with young people and helping them grow and succeed. I have attended 40 years of high school graduations and love seeing students succeed and move forward toward their goal I love my family! My wife and I have been married for 46 years! We were high school sweethearts. She has been my best friend since that time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by wonderful parents who taught me about the gospel of Jesus Christ. During my teenage years, I decided that I needed to learn if what I had been taught was really true and if there was really a God in Heaven who answered prayers. I studied and pondered many months before receiving my answer from God. One evening, I was very discouraged. I fell to my knees and asked my Heavenly Father if this church was really true and if He really could hear me and could answer my personal prayer. I immediately felt the love and warmth of my Heavenly Father as He reassured me that He was really there and that He loved me. I cried tears of joy upon receiving this confirmation! After exercising faith in many situations and having received answers and assurances from above, I now can truthfully say that I know my Heavenly Father lives. Jesus Christ is my Savior! God's church, His Prophets, and His Apostles are on the earth today. If we follow His teachings we will be blessed. If we do all that we can to obey with exactness, we can and will witness miracles. I know that God's church was restored to Joseph Smith and His church continues to this day. The Book of Mormon contains the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is scripture and contains the word of God. The men and women in this church are not perfect but God is perfect and His perfect love is available to us all! The purpose of this life is to serve, love, and help others find joy and their Savior.

How I live my faith

Since I firmly believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I do my best to keep the commandments and to be an example of the believers. I try to base my decisions on righteous principles rather than on popular opinion or personal gain. I try to be kind to others, and to help those around me. I have worked with high school age students for many years. I have learned that if I treat them with respect and kindness they respond in a like manner. My goal is to be "Firm, Fair, and Friendly" as I work to help others grow, learn, and mature. I have served on state and local education boards and committees and have been active in trying to help all students have access to a quality education. I have presented at local, state, national and international education conferences on various educational topics. I have worked with the youth in our church for many years and I love it. I have also served in administrative roles as a clerk, an auditor, as well as supervising Priesthood groups and youth organizations. I served as the Bishop of our local congregation for five years. I love working with college age students and have been working with our young missionaries for the past four years. We have found great joy in helping others find their way in this life!
