Hi I'm Read

I am a brother and a son, I love to run and,and to sing, i have been called to love the people of Moscow Russia; and I am a Mormon

About Me

To start I really love my family! I have two younger brothers and one older sister! they are some of my best friends! Our family really enjoys making things, we do family projects usually involving our video camera and lots and lots of film editing! I am a lover of eating food and I eat like a hungry bear! I am going to study business and engineering after I serve the Lord for two years in Russia!

Why I am a Mormon

There are two possible answers to this question. The first would be because I was born into a Mormon family and raised in a home of goodly parents who love the lord and I want to follow them. However this is not the reason why I am a Mormon. The reason I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints, is because it is God's true church on the Earth. He himself has witnessed this to me through the power of the Holy Ghost and through actual miracles I have witnessed in my life. I have prayed about and studied through and I have come to know that the Book of Mormon is another true testament of the Lord Jesus Christ. I have received innumerable witnesses that it is true! I have also done my best to live the principles taught in the scriptures and from living prophets, these standards and calls to action, whether it is to serve until you can't serve anymore, or if it is the law of chastity or word of wisdom, all of the principles that are taught and lived by members of this church truly lead to a happy life, And I have found that life is fuller, and I enjoy the greatest of blessings when I live the commandments and precepts of Christ, than when I am disobedient. I do know of a surety that Joseph Smith was a prophet. He did pray to the father and he received an answer. It wasn't the answer he was looking for, but it was the one God gave him. He was obedient and did what God asked him to do, and through this the true church of God was once again restored to the earth, it wasn't created or formed by Joseph Smith but it was restored. Now the Keys to seal on Heaven and earth are now restored to the world, and now, in the Lord's own house (the temples) eternal families are able to be created and can enjoy the blessings of exaltation with the Father through the atonement of Jesus Christ. I love my family, and I love my Savior. And I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Living your faith is what faith is! I love the analogy about water. When we were born there are certain needs that need to be met, we need to eat food, we need warmth and care, and we need to drink water! If we don't drink water we will get sick and or die very quickly! it is the same with the gospel of Jesus Christ, we come to this earth as beggars, we cannot overcome physical or spiritual death on our own, and we make a ridiculously large amount of mistakes that will prevent us from returning to live with our Father in Heaven. Just like we need water, we need a Savior! What I find so interesting about this is that we can be surrounded by water, completely immersed in it, have it pouring down around us,or even holding a glass of it in our hands, but if we do not physically DRINK the water, we will still die. Drinking the blessings of the atonement of Jesus Christ requires us take action, the savior asks us to "Love one another as I have loved you" I have tried to have this Christlike love by serving, each week I visit with my friends an old folks home in our neighborhood filled with old widows, I try to offer care to whoever needs it! I will also be sacrificing two years of my life to love the people of a foreign land that I do not yet know, serving them and helping uplift their lives with peace and with the pure love of Christ!
