Hi I'm Paisley

I'm from Hawaii. I love the ocean and the outdoors. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my second year at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah (Go Cougars!). I'm studying Human Development there in hopes of continuing into the Marriage and Family Therapy Masters Program at BYU as well. I love hanging out with my friends and family, and I love making people laugh and smile. I love to be outside. I really enjoy longboarding around town, hiking to beautiful spots, and swimming in the ocean (or any body of water, really). I'm currently serving in the great Kansas Wichita Mission (the greatest mission in the entire world), and I love serving my Savior and my brothers and sisters here in good ole Kansas.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm only 20 years old, but I've come to the realization that the world is way too complicated for there not to be a God. All of the little details that just fit together in this universe couldn't have been put together randomly. I also love what the Church stands for. I am a Human Development major so I am very invested in the wellbeing of families and children, and the Church is the same way. If you ever get the chance to read "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" you'll see just how invested the Church is in the positive and healthy upbringing of children. Along with families, we are able to be with our families forever through ordinances performed in the temples of God. Through what we call sealings, we are able to live with our spouses and our families forever, and I just can't wait for that. This Church just stands for everything good.

How I live my faith

I think the one main way that I like to live my faith is through service. I love attending and participating in service projects. It makes me feel good when others feel helped and loved, and I think service truly captures the essence of this Church. You can truly feel the love when others volunteer to help new mothers make dinner, or when a brand new member needs help moving in to her new house. The service, and the drive of members to help others, is truly one of the most impressive things to me.
