Hi I'm Marianne

I grew up in New Plymouth, Idaho. I am married and have 11 children and 64 grandchildren! Love my family! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised on a small farm in Idaho and attended Brigham Young University after graduation. I have four sisters and four brothers. My husband and I were married and settled in Weiser, Idaho after Law School in Houston, Texas and Moscow, Idaho. I love music and have enjoyed teaching my own children to love music as well. Our marriage was blessed with 11 children, 5 girls and 6 boys. What a wonderful opportunity to enjoy being together as a family and developing talents and serving in our schools and community! One thing we did as a family was to build a cabin in the mountains and enjoy spending time there with our children and grandchildren. It is great to relax and enjoy the beauties of nature. I also love to cook and have especially enjoyed making homemade bread. Mealtime is a special time and good food adds a lot of memories. After our children were all married, we spent 20 months in Moscow, Russia and service missionaries in the legal department for our church. What a great experience!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a loving Mormon family with a Mormon ancestry that goes back to immigrants from Denmark and England. How great it is to read their stories of coming in contact with the missionaries who were sent across the ocean to find those who were interested in learning about the restored church of Jesus Christ on the earth today. I love the way the Mormon church teaches us to live our lives, teach our children and serve others to find the true joys in life. I always want to stay close to my family and friends who are helping me to live the standards taught by our leaders today. Strong marriages are one of the greatest blessings I find and shy I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

During my busy life I have enjoyed serving in our church as a visiting teacher to other sisters and as a Partner with my husband to Home teach other families as well. I have always enjoyed working with the youth and children in our church. However, my greatest love has been the worth of music in the lives of others! Music is such a great teacher of discipline, faith, inspiration, joy and reverence. Participating in the singing of the "Messiah" has been one of the most memorable occasions in my life. I have also felt great joy as I have watched the High School Music department present Musicals. Our children have had such great experiences as they have participated. Now I am enjoying watching our grandchildren do the same. Always doing good things!
