Hi I'm Kimmy Whatcott

I grew up in Utah. I love music. I love learning. I love my family. I love the Gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am one of six children in my family. My whole family loves music, and some of my favorite memories are gathering around the piano with my sisters to sing together in our home. I was raised in the Gospel by very loving parents, and have always been surrounded by wonderful examples and friends. I attend Utah State University and am currently studying electrical engineering. I love to learn - history, math, science, everything! I feel so grateful for the many people and opportunities my Heavenly Father has blessed me with.

Why I am a Mormon

I live the Gospel because the Gospel makes me happy. It brings peace and a sense of purpose into my life. I know I have weaknesses, but I find hope in the knowledge that through my Savior, Jesus Christ, I can overcome anything and everything! I love the promise that as we live the Gospel our families can be together forever. I know that by keeping the commandments our Heavenly Father can make so much more out of our lives than we could ever do by ourselves. I know He loves us very, very much. We never walk alone. That knowledge lifts and sustains me through all my challenges, and helps me to become a better person. I love the Gospel!!

How I live my faith

I love the Gospel!! I've served in many different callings in the church, but some of my favorites are playing piano and organ for church meetings, organizing weekly activities for a group of students in my ward at college, working with other youth to plan activities and training meetings for students at our high school seminary, and preparing a three-day camp for high school girls in my stake. In my personal life, I love to read and study the Book of Mormon. I try to read it every morning before I go to school or work, and it brings me joy and peace and helps me remember how much my Heavenly Father loves me. I love to spend time going to the temple with family members and friends. When I worship there, I feel closer to God and I receive answers to my prayers. I am also preparing myself to serve an 18 month mission in the Tallahassee Florida area. I am excited to help others come unto Christ and share my testimony of God's love for all of His children.
