Hi I'm Evan

I grew up in Kearns, Utah. I've been called to serve in the California, Carlsbad Mission. I'm a Mormon

About Me

In high school, I produced videos and films and compete in a local film festival. I also acted in musicals and plays, catching a few of the leads along the way. I am a singer and was a part of my schools Madrigals choir. I enjoy playing guitar, singing, writing, and studying various sciences.

Why I am a Mormon

"I knew it, and I knew that God knew it, and I could not deny it" -Joseph Smith. I, like Joseph Smith, sought out answers for myself. I studied the scriptures, prayed, pondered, and actively searched for answers to my questions, and I have gotten my answers. Though I don't know everything, but I know enough to not honestly deny it, and God knows I know. I have felt the comfort of the Holy Spirit, I have seen the tender mercies of the Lord, I know Christ is my savior. I know there is a prophet on the Earth, I know the scriptures are true, I know Heavenly Father loves us all. I say these things here in the name of Jesus Christ, amen

How I live my faith

I do my best to exemplify my callings. I am currently serving in the California, Carlsbad mission as an emissary of the Lord, I do my best to teach and learn

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Evan
"We believe the Bible to be the word of God, as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God" Article of Faith 8 The Book of Mormon is not meant to replace the Bible, they are meant to support each other as testaments of Jesus Christ from different parts of the world. In the sixteenth verse of the tenth chapter of the book of John in the New Testament it says, "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them I must also bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd" This references the people recorded in the Book of Mormon, the Nephites and Lamanites. In short, the Bible is Holy Scripture and important to the doctrine taught in the LDS Church Show more Show less
