Hi I'm Alyssa Mae Howsmon

I grew up in Colorado. I am currently preparing to serve a mission in the Alpine German-Speaking Mission in July.

About Me

I grew up in Colorado and am the oldest of five children. I love my family as well as my faith. Also, I love activities that include the outdoors such as hiking, fishing, forewheeling, snowmobiling, repelling, running, etc. I also love to work out and stay in shape. I am especially excited to be a missonay for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have been assigned to serve in The Alpine German-Speaking Mission. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to share the gospel with the people of Southern Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in the German language.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony and I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true and that it is God's church on the earth. This, the true church teaches how to love others, serve, be honest and humble, as well as many other good attributes. I know that The Book of Mormon is true and is in fact the word of God. The Book of Mormon and the King James Version of the Bible cross reference each other multiple times. They both teach and prophesy of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Joseph Smith is and was a true prophet who restored The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints back to the earth and translated The Book of Mormon. We are here on this earth for a reason, not "just because". The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints teaches and gives answers to questions of the soul and helps people realize their purpose on this earth. We have a loving Heavenly Father and a Savior who love us and want us to live with them again and we are taught how to do that. I am happy and my happiness comes from the things I have learned and continue to learn being a Mormon. I feel so blessed to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by regularly attending church meetings and fulfilling my duties within the church. I do my best to be a follower of Christ in every aspect of my life. I share the gospel with others when I have the opportunity to. Love and service are a few things that I have been taught within the church so I make sure to love everyone I come in contact with and to serve others.
