Hi I'm TJ

I love my wife Krista, and I love God. I also like food, football, and traveling - all probably a little too much :)

About Me

I'm a husband to a beautiful and fun wife, first and foremost... I'm also building the sales team for a tech startup, and I seriously LOVE my job. Besides, Utah, I've called Texas and Idaho home at different times in my life, and I love all 3. I believe in my Savior, Jesus Christ, and I try to follow His example... I fail all too often, but I'll never stop trying. I love people... I'm never as happy as when I'm around them. Traveling helps me to see all that God has made, and meeting His children in every corner of the world and taking in and learning of their cultures is becoming a favorite hobby.

Why I am a Mormon

“I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.” (C.S. Lewis) C.S. Lewis best captured how I feel... understanding that God has a perfect plan for all of us, and knowing that we are truly His children and that He is a loving Father has completely changed my life. Maybe I'm a weak person, but I couldn't handle all that this life occasionally throws at us without that knowledge - and the knowledge that He loved me (and you) so much that He provided His son Jesus Christ to be a Savior for all of us, to help us to return to live like Him. So why be a Mormon/Latter-Day Saint? What's different than the other Christian religions? Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints simply means that I believe that God has not ceased to work or communicate with His children over the past few thousands of years; I believe that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever... and as such, He wouldn't abandon us or cease to lead us in the same way He led his children in biblical times. I believe he leads us by prophets, just like He always has, just like He promised He would in the Bible, and just like He always will. This continued revelation, with Jesus Christ at the helm, has helped to clarify the Gospel of Jesus Christ for me, and reduces the confusion and noise I find when I look at the world... even the world of Christianity. I believe that without the Atonement of Jesus Christ - the incredible, unfathomable, and self-less act of a God giving His life and paying the price for our sins - means that families can be together forever, even after we are laid down into our graves, if we follow and live the Gospel of Jesus Christ just as His disciples have done throughout time.

How I live my faith

I lead the Sunday School efforts for my local congregation, and ensure that every Sunday we've got awesome/loving teachers ready to help every class learn the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
