Hi I'm Aubrey

I'm an average teenager. I'm preparing for a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an average teenage girl, but what makes me different from the world's standard is that the foundation of life is built upon a firm belief in God and my family. I'm a good student and have really enjoyed my first year in college. I have many hobbies; I love to sing and play the piano (my family and roommates can testify to that:)) I enjoy playing tennis, or just sitting down to read a good book. I've always loved to draw and paint and am trying to find a career that will allow me to keep those "creative juices" flowing. I adore laughter, I'm always up for trying new things, and have a lifelong dream to travel the world. My next adventure is going on an LDS mission and I couldn't be more excited!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church, but have chosen to remain a member by my own choice. I have wonderful parents who have helped me see the hand of God in my life, and this gospel is such a major factor why I am so close with my parents and 5 siblings. I have never found the same kind of happiness, peace, or comfort that I experience by being a member of "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" anywhere else, it gives me purpose, direction, and personal fulfillment. Living an active LDS lifestyle has allowed me to feel more connected to people of all ages in my church congregation, where I have made many lifetime friends. Living the gospel has enlightened my mind as well as my spirit because I am continually learning from the scriptures, attending the temple and my church meetings, this along with personal prayer has helped me to form a personal relationship with my Lord and Savior. Because of this, I want to be able to share the message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ with others. That is why I am choosing to give 18 months of my life to go out into the world and to share this wonderful truth with all who will listen. That is why I not only live my religion, but love it. That is why I am Mormon.

How I live my faith

It's hard to separate how I live my life and how I live my faith. I feel like my faith is my life! My day consists of regularly turning to my Father in Heaven in prayer, making choices based on strong moral values, being conscientious of how I behave so that I live a life of integrity. Basically my goal is treat others and conduct myself as Jesus Christ did. Faith is an action word, I know it's important to "walk the walk". Being a member of "the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" I have had a lot of opportunities to serve others in many different ways, at home, at school, in my community and among my church congregation. I've served as a youth leader among my peers and helped organize activities and teach gospel based lessons which has allowed us to grow closer in friendship, but also in faith. We have organized large service projects which have helped those in need; the underprivileged, the special needs community, as well as visiting the elderly and the sick. In college I was able to visit teach girls in my apartment building and made some wonderful friendships through those visits. I want to be a good example of a disciple of Jesus Christ and hope that my daily life is a reflection of my faith.
