Hi I'm Alan

I live in Orem, Utah. I run track at Timpanogos High School. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am an athletic person who loves to keep moving and never giving up. I'm super competitive and can get out of control sometimes but i know how to still have fun, even when I'm beat. I played rugby for four years and took second place in the semi finals. After rugby i went to run track, i run the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 4x100 meter dash, and the medley. Our school took first in region and we are heading off to state real soon. I love the feeling of helping others and bringing a smile to their faces. Some off my team mates get down about losing there race but i give them advice to help them run better, after i try to talk to them about forgetting that race and keep moving forward. i enjoy learning new things, if its in an entertaining way, i can apply almost everything i learn and i can teach that to others who may or may not it them.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a lds family and i as i learn about my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ i saw the true meaning of why i was sent to this earth. I was tested to see if i was worthy enough to return to him and live with him an my family for eternity. I dint quite understand at first but as i made the sacrifice to keep studying i know that things happen for a reason. Even when they seem unfair or questionable, they all have a meaning to them. I know my heavenly father and Jesus Christ are always with me when i feel down and if i ever need they're guidance, i simply pray and ask for help. I can also find my answer in my scriptures. I know the church is true and that Joseph Smith is the first and true prophet.

How I live my faith

Because i am one of the oldest in my priest quorum i set an example to those who are also in my quorum and to those in the teachers and deacon quorum. I do have a calling in my ward. i am the secretary of the priest quorum. i have a wonderful opportunity to bless the sacrament for my ward. I have a pretty big priest quorum with about 20 priest so we switch off every Sunday on who gets to bless the sacrament. Also there are a few families in our ward who are unable to make it to sacrament so a few volunteers go to those families to bless the sacrament for them. I love my ward and i love everyone in my ward with all my heart. I will help those who need it and will try my best to do what ever i can to help and serve those who need it.

What is being a Mormon like?

Alan
Being a Mormon to me as like knowing whats right without second guessing it. We know that as we pray to our Heavenly Father, He can answer our prayers and help us with anything we have struggles with in our lives. God works in weird ways but he is always with you and can help you with anything. All we need to do is pray for guidence and he will help us get trough our trials. Show more Show less
