Hi I'm Dallas

I am a student at the University of Toronto, majoring in neuroscience.

About Me

I was born in Alberta, and spent the first 17 years of my life in a small town south of Calgary. When I was little, my sister took me to the Calgary Stampede where I saw a hypnotist perform. Not knowing that it was a show, I wondered how it was all possible, and from that point on I knew that I wanted to study behaviour as a career. Now I’m enrolled in the University of Toronto, with a major in neuroscience. One day I hope I will be able to conduct research that improves people’s lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family, and have been surrounded by faith since I was born, but as is the case with many members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, there came a time when it wasn’t enough to know that my parents believed. I needed to know for myself. I prayed and pondered, and came to my own realization of the truthfulness of the Gospel. What I love most about my faith is that it gives my life purpose on a level that the world simply can’t do. We all have the Light of Christ, and we naturally want to do the right thing, but nowhere other than in the Church do we learn how to do so or why.

How I live my faith

The Saviour showed us the way. He was the perfect example of living righteously and joyfully. I live my faith by doing my best to honor the Saviour and His commandments. Soon, I will go on a mission to Budapest, in the country of Hungary. I am excited to share with others the same joy that the gospel gives me when I live by its principles.
