Hi I'm Olivia Kimberly Bills

I'm a Mormon, a vocalist, a happy person and a missionary.

About Me

I'm a missionary in the Japan Fukuoka mission and think I can speak Japanese sometimes. I love to sing and have been classically trained for the past 6 years. I love being outside and going on adventures- including the ones that start by getting lost! I enjoy baking, reading and goofing off. I love to smile! Quotes make me happy. Mugs make everything taste better so I collect them. Penguins are the best animals ever so I love those too. Basically, I believe that life is full of all the happiest possibilities and so many things to love, so why not love them?

Why I am a Mormon

I struggled with my faith after my parents got divorced. I went to church when I was expected to because I was expected to but not because I wanted to go. After I graduated high school, I stopped going for a few months and would come up with excuses or sit in my car for three hours. One Sunday, I didn't have anymore excuses and decided that I would go and if the ward wasn't welcoming I would be done. The ward was amazing. They welcomed me so quickly and with open arms and continue to do so every single Sunday. I started really thinking about the gospel and what it meant to me. I got a calling right after I started going again and love it. My testimony has grown so much the last two years that now I'm preparing to serve a mission. This gospel has helped me become who I am and shaped me in a way that I can only see as positive. I will continue to follow my Heavenly Father's plan for me and read my scriptures and say my prayers and do my part to live with Him again. The gospel is true. I cannot deny it. I've seen the Atonement in my life and I've felt the blessing of doing what's right. I love the gospel with all my heart and mind. I know this church is true and I know that no matter what, He will always be there for me to love me and show me the way. I'm insanely glad that one Sunday I decided that I needed to go back to church and that the people in the ward were so loving. It's amazing each week to see their smiling faces and knowing that they're happy to see every person in the building. I'm happy that now I'm one of those smiling faces. And now, I'm about to serve a mission! I cannot wait to get to Japan and to start teaching about this gospel that I love so much. I wouldn't be about to serve if I didn't know that it was true.

How I live my faith

I was the ward choir director for the Young Single Adult ward and loved it. Now I'm a missionary!

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Olivia Kimberly Bills
We help all who we can and are able to help. A big part of who we are and what we do is service for others. We have the Mormon Helping Hands that go and will be responders after natural disasters and will also help with cleaning a school parking lot. We do what we can to help anyone in need, Mormon or not.
