Hi I'm Nathan

I'm from Michigan. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello, my name is Nathan. I really enjoy playing tennis, singing, and anything outdoors. On Saturdays you can me find glued to my TV watching BYU Football. I love watching sports in general, but love rooting for BYU. I'm a student at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I'm currently studying Chemical Engineering. But starting at the end of June 2016 I will serving a mission in Calgary, Canada for two years.

Why I am a Mormon

On November 30th, 2014 I was baptized and the following Sunday I was confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I felt a void in my life that I couldn't fill. I was going through the motions and not taking religion seriously. I came across the missionaries through family friends who were Mormons and was ask if I would meet with them. I finally decided I would. And here I am today. I can tell you what, ever since it has blessed my life. I feel more at peace and have a better understanding of why I'm here on this earth each and every day. The Book of Mormon is true. It can bless your life. I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father, He lives and He loves each and every one of us. I felt His guidance and direction in my life. I'm grateful that He places things and people in our lives for a reason. I'm grateful that sometimes I fall, and because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ I can get back up again. I know that Jesus is the Christ, His example, obedience, love, and sacrifice is like none other. I know that this Church is true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. His own blood was spilled as a testimony of this gospel and The Book of Mormon. Lastly, I can't express how much I enjoy going to the temple. From where I live it's nearly three hours to the closest temple. But every time I go, I feel the spirit so strongly like no other place on earth, and that beats any car ride. I know when I go to the temple I can receive answers to my questions and prayers. I invite people everywhere to come unto Christ and experiences the things that I have, I promise and know it will bless your life. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

Being a convert to the church, I really enjoy going out with the missionaries and teaching lessons because I like being able to relate to the people of my community. For callings in the church, I've spent time teaching the youth and leading a group of college students in weekly activities. Especially now that I'm preparing for my mission, I take a good time out of my day to study the scriptures and look for service opportunities in my community. I hope to make an influence on others in any way that I can, but specifically through my faith and how I live it.
