Hi I'm Rachel Broyles

I grew up in Omaha Nebraska. I have a degree in Baking and Pastries. I love the Gospel. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Rachel Broyles. I'm from Omaha, Nebraska. I went to and graduated from Millard South High School in 2014. For my junior and senior years, I was able to attend a culinary program. This path helped me discover a culinary college in Coosbay, Oregon; The Oregon Coast Culinary Institute. Through attending this college I was able to graduate with a degree in Baking and Pastries. I was also involved track and was able to run in the State competition for my team. I like to work out, play sports, and be active outside. After being in Oregon, I went to The Woodlands, Texas to work in a country club. In Texas, I enjoyed attending institute and preparing myself to go on a mission. I am serving in the Utah Logan Mission starting June 21, 2016 until December of 2018. I'm excited to be on my mission and to help others come unto Christ. As I serve I hope to grow my understanding about the gospel and Jesus Christ so I know how to share the gospel with others. I also hope to become the daughter of God that He knows I can become. I know that Jesus Christ lives. Only through Him can we change. As we look to Him and diligently seek for his help He can become our foundation and we can withstand any trial. Through our efforts in reading the Bible and Book of Mormon, saying our prayers, and attending church our change can be an never-ending lifestyle. I know that the Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ LIVES!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in this church. I wasn't quite sure what The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was all about, but I knew deep down inside me that this was the only true Church. As I have grown up, I started to have a desire to know for myself if these things where true. I face challenges all the time, and sometimes I put myself in places I shouldn't have been in, but I remember how the Savior taught us to repent. As I humble myself, pray unto the Father, listen to him, and renew my covenants, or promises, weekly I truly understand the importance of Christ and His sacrifice. I know that He died for me and every one of us so we could repent, change ourselves through Him, and become better. To become like Him. I'm grateful that I had faith in Jesus Christ and in his Atonement, that I followed His example by being baptized with someone holing the authority of God and was given the Holy Ghost as a constant companion so that I could enjoy to the end. I know that I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my life by following the example Christ showed us. I'm not perfect and there are times where I struggle, but Christ taught us to repent and to come follow Him. Repentance mean to change; change attitude, actions, mind, thoughts, etc. I can choose to do my best and to try. As I do my best I know that God will love me for who I am. I can choose to receive the help from my Heavenly Father who knows what I need to learn and grow. I can choose to have faith in Jesus Christ and trust in my God. for they know all things. I can choose to read my scriptures to learn more about Jesus Christ and his teachings so I can be strengthened. I can choose to say my prayers to so that I am able to listen to my Heavenly Father and understand His will for me. I can choose to attend The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints every Sunday and all the church activities so I continue to grow my testimony through the testimonies and examples of others. How I live my faith is by using my agency, or my ability to choose. I can choose to do what is right. I know that agency is a gift God has given us. If we don't choose to stand up for what is right Satan can come into our lives and destroy our agency. I know that Heavenly Father loves us so much. He gave us commandments so we can keep our agency for all eternity. I know I am so much happier when I choose to follow His commandments. I know that if you choose to follow His commandments that you will find this happiness that I have found. I love this gospel and learning more about Jesus Christ. What He did for us was for our happiness.
