Hi I'm Chanel
I love learning languages. I also love to crochet things for others. I'm serving a mission in the Baltic States. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I have always loved learning languages and learning about different cultures. I took Chinese, Spanish, French, and Japanese during High School. I taught myself how to crochet and I love to make things for other people. I have done a year in college, I want to major in linguistics and become a translator. I hope to travel the world one day and become multi-lingual. I am now currently serving a mission in the Baltics, speaking Russian.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon, because I love it. I was born into this church, yet I had to have my own conversion. My mom has a lot of chronic illnesses and often times wasn't able to make it church when I was young, and with my dad being less active growing up, I found myself going to church alone a lot. It came to a point in my life that I went because friends were there and not much of any other reason. Yet, when I got into high school, my mom's health was worse, I had friends who were straying from a good path in life, and even found myself in less desirable places. At that time I had to decide if this Church was true. I studied scriptures, prayed, repented, and my heart changed. I knew the church was true after and I have no regrets. I love going to church and I love the community. Most of all I love this gospel and the truths that we have. Whether you are born in the church or not, everyone has a conversion story or one day will.
How I live my faith
I love to visit the elderly in my ward, it is so fascinating to hear their stories. Also, I love to go to the activities and invite others to come with me, it is a great way to become closer to others whether they are of the same faith or not. I just want to show people what we really believe in and that we care for them. I also am going to serve a mission this year. I cannot wait to bring people to this gospel!
