Hi I'm Jacom

I'm from Oklahoma. I work in construction. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 25 years old. Im a foreman for a roofing company. I've worked there since I was 18. I'm not married and have no kids, unless you count my crew. Sometimes I gotta babysit them, but there a good bunch of guys. I always try to work along side them when the big bosses ain't causing trouble.

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in a Mormon house but was almost never active or interested church. This continued for years. Eventually addictions and some bad behaviors took over. I was angry all the time and just wanted to be left alone. Missionaries would show up every now and then and I'd just send em away. Then one day they showed up and we talked. I invited them back. They challenged me to pray about the truthfulness of the Gospel so I said I would. I prayed that night and felt so happy and light that layed awake all night until morning. I started going to church each week and through prayer and scripture study overcame my vises. Little by little I became a noticeably happier person. Our Heavenly Father knows what is best for us and will always make his goals for us reachable. We just have reach.

How I live my faith

In August I will be quitting my job so that I may serve a full time mission for 2 years. I will be focusing my time and energy meeting new people and testifying of Christ and of the fullness of the Gospel. Currently I work along side the missionaries serving here when I'm not roofing. I've seen happiness come to those who open their hearts and gain a testimony of Christ and I was one of them.
