Hi I'm Emilee

I'm a sister, storyteller, and internet aficionado. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love stories--whether they come from the movies, the scriptures, or a well done children's book. I am an avid artist, currently majoring in illustration, and hope to work in the animation industry one day.

Why I am a Mormon

It's hard to identify when I started being a Mormon, as I was born into a very active Mormon family and have never been without the Church's influence in my life. However, I have remained a Mormon of my own volition due to the positive experiences and spiritual growth that the gospel of Jesus Christ has brought to me. I have felt of Christ's love as I've faced life's challenges and have learned to recognize His hand in the blessings I have received.

How I live my faith

My interest in history has led to my involvement with the genealogy programs of the Church. I have been called as a family history consultant and have been able to index names found on old documents to aid others in their work. I have also served in teaching positions for children multiple times and have been able to use my skills in art (both the visual and martial varieties) to lead youth activities.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Tithing is used to fund the more practical needs of the Church, such as construction and furnishing for our chapels, temples, and other important buildings. It is also used to purchase teaching materials and other supplies for the Church's day-to-day needs. Show more Show less
