Hi I'm Joshua Hainline

I grew up in Clinton, Utah. I write stories of my own fictional worlds. I'm a big reader of the scriptures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a writer. I just love to type stories on my computer! I like writing about Fan Fictions of Video Games/TV Series, and I also like creating my own characters and my own stories. My goal is to write stories that are fun, entertaining and that contain Gospel Truths in them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it brings happiness to my life. Whenever I do my best to follow the commandments and the teachings of the Gospel, I feel better about myself and joyful, and I find myself trying to share that joy with others. I know this Gospel is true, and I know that those who try to live it to the best of their abilities, those who always strive to be better than who they were yesterday, will be happier and more satisfied with life.

How I live my faith

I love doing service in my church, whether it's fulfilling an assignment or taking responsibilities in a calling. That is the most outward expression I have to show how I live my faith. It's not always easy, and sometimes it can be overwhelming and depressing, but the experiences I've had and the people I've met make it all worth it. I also love reading the scriptures, both Bible and Book of Mormon, as well as the other approved standard works, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. I love reading them to learn more about the Gospel. They help me to feel the Holy Ghost, and they help strengthen my testimony of this Gospel.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

Joshua Hainline
We believe that there is life after death. When people die, they don't just disappear into nothingness. They live on in a place called the Spirit World. In this Spirit World, they will either teach or be taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I don't know exactly what it's going to be like; a new experience for sure. But I do know is that because death is not the end, we will see our families and friends again one day. Show more Show less

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon temples? What goes on in Mormon temples?

Joshua Hainline
Temples are there so that we can partake of saving ordinances. The things that go on in temples are not secret, but rather, they are sacred, and not to be mocked. Because the temple and what goes on inside is so sacred, you have to obtain a Temple Recommend from your Bishop, and your Stake President if you are a legal adult. They will interview you and see if you are worthy to enter. If so, great, you can go to the temple. If not, then you are invited to change your lives so that you can and will be worthy to go inside someday. We invite everyone to lives their lives so that they can enter the temple someday. It's a long path, and it's not always easy, but it is always worth it. Show more Show less
