Hi I'm Lynn

I was born and raised in Blackfoot, ID. I spent 23+ years in the USAF and 21+ as a company executive. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

While in the Air Force, we lived in Ankara, Turkey, which was Galatia in New Testament times. As a JAG, I helped negotiate an Agreement with the Danish government. I served as a Legal Adviser to the Commander of Coalition Forces in Northern Iraq after the first Gulf War, doing humanitarian relief for the Kurdish refugees in Northern Iraq. We have lived in AZ, CA, NE, AK, SD, FL, IL, CO, and VA. I have seen and experienced numerous miracles in my life. I died in April 1989, at age 43. My wife was either angry at being a young widow, or her nursing skills kicked in. She "beat on my chest" and brought me back. In the ER, I went code blue 10 more times. None of the cardiac meds were stabilizing me. My Bishop was finally able to give me a blessing and immediately my arrhythmias stopped and my heart returned to normal.

Why I am a Mormon

I gained an intellectual testimony of the Gospel as a teenager after studying about other Christian religions, world religions, and visiting other churches. It frustrated me that adults would say, "I know the Church is true." I thought, you can "believe" its true, you can "feel" its true, but you can't "know" its true. My freshman year in college, I was reaching a crossroad for decisions in my life and I really wanted to know if it was true. I stayed in my room and prayed till I received an answer. Suddenly I "KNEW" the Gospel was true more than I knew the sun was going to come up. That answer changed my life forever. No longer was making a million dollars a priority in my life.

How I live my faith

We have always been involved in the schools in our community. I have been involved in Rotary in doing service projects both locally and internationally. I have loved visiting the home's of members each month as a Home Teacher. I think it should be fun for all involved, so I often take a game to play. I love to ask Gospel questions, and when they get the correct answer, they get to select a candy treat. I have been privileged to serve in many different Church positions and I have learned from each one. I have been amazed to see how much love there is the Church for one another and for the Lord. I love seeing all the good that can be done for others when we work together. I have particularly grown to appreciate how much Heavenly Father loves each of His children.
