Hi I'm Sarah

I am an amateur storyteller, a lover of big cities, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University, where I am a News Media major emphasizing in broadcast journalism, and don't watch the news as much as I should. Instead, I focus on collecting stories that resonate with me, in the various forms of novels, poetry, tv shows, movies, and music. And at times, I even dabble in creating my very own. Back in high school I was a theater kid, comedic plays being my favorite, and I will always adore making people laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the gospel, as did my parents. But I know firsthand, through extended family and friends, that doing so doesn't guarantee anyone a testimony of the gospel. I am a mormon because of two reasons; one, I am happier when I live the gospel, and two, I have felt the truth of gospel principles that I couldn't deny even if I wanted to. And that, at it's simplest core, is my testimony.

How I live my faith

I believe in the power of example, and while I am not especially vocal about religious beliefs all the time, I live the gospel quietly day to day as best I can. I have found that by doing so, people will often come up to me and ask questions leading to a more meaningful conversation than if it have been the other way around. In a few weeks, I will be leaving to serve a mission for the church in San Diego, California. I am excited and terrified, but I am looking forward to devoting more of my time towards teaching and serving the people of San Diego.
