Hi I'm Jenna

I grew up in Austin, Texas. I love the outdoors and all kinds of sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old and I just finished my freshman year at Brigham Young University. I am studying to become a dental hygienist. Some of my hobbies are playing soccer, swimming, drawing and archery, as well as playing the violin and piano. There are 7 kids in my family and we love playing sports together. I am the second youngest so I love being able to follow the example of my older siblings. Last summer I went on a humanitarian trip to Belize where I helped build a school. It was an amazing experience and I love serving others. I just recently got my mission call to the Kiev, Ukraine mission where I will be preaching the gospel in the Russian language. I can't wait to serve the Lord for a year and a half!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints my whole life. I was born to loving parents who were members of this church and when I was little, I followed their amazing example and came to church every Sunday. When I became a teenager, I was encouraged to gain my own conviction of the truthfulness of the church and learn exactly why I wanted to be a member of the church. Through lots of prayer and studying of the scriptures I gained my own testimony of the truthfulness of the church. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is real and true and I have felt the exalting power of the Book of Mormon. I don't have to rely on my parents' testimonies anymore. I know without a doubt that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church and that by following Jesus Christ and choosing the right we can someday live with Him again.

How I live my faith

I am a teacher in our church for youth that are around my same age. I have the privilege of teaching the basics of our gospel for those who are new or visiting. I also participate in many service activities that our church provides such as doing family history work, indexing, and helping those in need. I am also assigned to visit two girls in my church every month in order to make them feel loved and cared for. I meet with them each month to talk about their week and how they are doing. I love being able to reach out and serve others through teaching, doing family history work, and visiting those who need my love.
