Hi I'm Joshua

I grew up in the UK, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've lived in several places around the south of the UK, including Kent, Hampshire and Cornwall. I'm just an average young man with a great purpose in life. I love sports, especially football (or soccer to you Americans) and most importantly, I love living and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for a very simple reason; I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church of Christ and I cannot deny that I know that. I grew up in the church but questioned everything if I was unsure at any point, but testing my faith with a desire to learn and to grow strengthened my belief and my desire to keep the commandments of God. I have witnessed the love of our Saviour Jesus Christ many times throughout my life and I have come to know him through the promised blessings of his atoning sacrifice which he performed for each one of us, not only individually, but personally. He suffered my pains, and yours, so He could know how we each feel at any given time, or through any kind of suffering we may have to endure. He is always there to protect us, guide us and comfort us. We need only ask, and seek him. I know this to be true, I do not believe it, I know it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith as a way of life, not just a Sunday thing. I learn it, live it, love it. It may sound like a cliché but it really is a life of joy when keeping the commandments of our Saviour Jesus Christ. Sure, there are plenty of trials and challenges in my life, and the lives of everyone, they will always come... BUT... although we cannot always choose what happens in our lives, we can always decide how we respond to the things that happen. My faith has grown so much through testing it in times of hardship. Now, I can I no wise deny the existence or love of our Heavenly Father or his Son, Jesus Christ, or the Holy Ghost. Very soon, I have the opportunity to teach the gospel full-time as a missionary and nothing brings greater joy to my life than living the gospel of Christ and serving those around me. I can promise anyone who sincerely desires to know their Saviour and their Father in Heaven, that if you read the Book of Mormon with an attitude of learning, and pray with full purpose of heart, believing that you can receive an answer to your prayers, that answer will come. But faith can only grow if you test it.
