Hi I'm Jade Barney

I grew up in Utah. I'm going to serve a mission in Denmark. I love to serve those in need. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have grown up in Utah. I just finished my first year at college, and I plan on majoring in Elementary Education. In high school I was on the swim team and the water polo team. I enjoy photography, being in nature, and being around family and friends. I am going to be serving a full-time mission in Denmark.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I have read the book of Mormon and have received confirmation that it is true. The gospel is a beautiful thing and I cannot wait to share it with the people of Denmark. I know that Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus Christ as two separate beings in the sacred grove, and I am so grateful for the work he did and the sacrifices he made so that we could be given the chance to take part in this glorious gospel. I know that God speaks through our Prophets and that Thomas S. Monson is the one he speaks through today. I love this gospel with all of my heart. It has brought me tremendous joy and hope. I know that my Savior loves me and I am forever grateful for His example, His love, and His Atonement.

How I live my faith

I am in a Young Single Adult's ward. In my ward, I have a calling; the visiting teaching coordinator. I am in charge of recording who has done their visiting teaching, addressing people's concern's with their assignments, and doing my best to see that every girl is visited. I also do my own visiting teaching. My partner and I are responsible for visiting three girls each month. We share a short message and talk to the girls about their lives. We pray with them and help them with anything they need.
