Hi I'm Holly

I am a daughter and a sister. I am a student. I am a missionary. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to go camping, hunting, fishing, and hiking with my family. I love being surrounded by nature and feeling that calm peace. I just finished my freshman year of college and I am thinking of pursuing an English degree, because I have always enjoyed reading books. I will be serving an LDS mission in Laoag, Philippines starting in the summer of 2016.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps me desire to be a better person. Without living apostles and prophets, I would not be as close with or understanding of my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Every time that I read the Book of Mormon with an open heart and mind, I receive such a strong assurance that it is a true book, and that the prophets and people described in the book are real people. With the community that Jesus Christ's church provides, I am able to make a bigger impact in the world and in my own town. I have felt my Savior's love for me. I know that the Holy Ghost influences me to make good choices. I know that I can overcome any trial I face through my loving brother, Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ restored His church through His prophet Joseph Smith in this day and age. I am willing to place my faith and love in Jesus Christ and His church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to those around me, especially my younger sisters. It's not something loud and flashy, but by always following my standards and goals, I stand out. I grew up in a small town where there weren't many religious people, so sticking to my standards was noticeable. I also participated in school, community, and church volunteer societies to help spread the love of Jesus Christ.
