Hi I'm ELDER DEL CASTILLO

I LOVE being MISSSIONARY. I'm serving in the PHILIPPINES URDANETA MISSION. I'M A Mormon, I KNOW IT, I LOVE IT, I LIVE IT.

About Me

I can compare myself as a bamboo tree, strong, firm, and flexible. I had a lot of trials before, even until now, but through the mercy and power of the Lord, like the bamboo tree, I managed to cope up, adapt and think of solutions to my problems. I trust the Lord very much that the problems doesn't have any power to overcome me because I know I am son of our Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

Everything started with curiosity. I was 11 years old when I got curious about the visitors of my friend neighbor. They wore white shirt, tie and name tag. I asked my friend who they were and he said that they are called elders. My friend together with those elders invited me to hear their message about the gospel of Jesus Christ and His restored church. The elders asked if they could come to our house twice a week and I said yes. During one of our meetings, the elders asked if I could say a prayer and I agreed. That very moment while I was praying, I felt the Holy Ghost softening my heart and testifying the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and His restored church. Few days after that, I decided to be baptized in the church.

How I live my faith

I am the branch missionary leader of our branch. Every week, I work with the missionaries and help them find the less active members and prospective investigators in our area. During Sundays, I happily welcome the members, less active members, and investigators who come to church by shaking their hands and greeting them.
