Hi I'm Hannah

I grew up in Spokane Washington. I am studying Nursing at BYU-Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a huge outdoor person. I love hunting, shooting, hiking, camping, fishing, swimming, and pretty much everything else that you can do outside. I love studying different cultures and peoples, particularly those of ancient times. I'm not a very loud person but I do love meeting new people. I have a passion for helping people and am currently studying to become a nurse.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon, but that is not why I am still a Mormon. Even though most of my family members are Mormons, I made a personal choice to stay in this church. I struggled with our values and standards as a teenager and deviated from the church because I did not have a solid testimony. The choices I was making were making me miserable and I decided to pray and find out if I should come back to the church. After praying and reading the verses in Moroni 10:3-5, I finally gained my testimony. I have worked to build my testimony even more through the years. I know from my experiences that this Church is true without a doubt. Joseph Smith was a true prophet who translated the Book of Mormon with Revelation from the Lord. Thomas S. Monson is our true prophet today, and the men who serve with him are inspired servants of the Lord. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true record. I have questioned it and prayed about it many times and know that it is undoubtedly true. Everything makes so much more sense with the truths contained in the Book of Mormon. I know that the standards and commandments of the Church are inspired and that they are here to help us. In no way do they hold us back from anything. In reality, they give us freedom from drugs, debt, addictions, and other worldly sorrows that seem like a good deal but are only meant to ensnare you and make you miserable. I know that true happiness comes from obedience and faithful service to the Lord Jesus Christ and His church on this Earth.

How I live my faith

My current calling is that of Family Home Evening "Mom". In my singles ward group, I help plan and preside over the activities that we do as a Home Evening Group. I am also preparing to serve a mission.
