Hi I'm Katie

I grew up in Draper, Utah. I just finished my first year of college at Utah State University. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am one of six kids. I love to run, play sports, long board, do anything outdoors, and read. I just finished my freshmen year at Utah State University. I love spending time with my family and going on adventures in the mountains. I am currently serving a mission in Chesapeake Virginia and love helping bring others to Jesus Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ lives. I know that he wants the best for me, and he has given me a plan that has brought me greater happiness and peace then anything else in the world. It is a perfect plan called the Plan of Salvation that has helped me understand that I am a daughter of God, and I have a divine role on this earth. I know that through scripture study, prayer, attending the temple, going to church, and listening to prophets and apostles brings us direction in our lives and has helped me to have the Holy Ghost with me. I know that as I always strive to have the Holy Ghost with me I can stay on the narrow path that will guide me safely home. I know that we are given trials so that we may turn more to the Savior and so we may learn and grow from them. I know that as we come unto Christ we can feel the unconditional love he has for us, which can fill any void and heal every heart. I know that as we serve others we will find ourselves and find true joy. I know that my Redeemer lives. I know that we have a purpose on this earth, to return to live with our Heavenly Father and to receive exaltation! I know as we read the Book of Mormon, and hold to the Savior by trying to become more like him that we can find true and lasting happiness that you cannot find anywhere else!

How I live my faith

In my singles ward at Utah State, I had the opportunity to teach all the women during the third hour of our church meetings. It was such a great experience for me, I learned so much preparing the lessons, and had great participation from the women. Overall it was an amazing way for me to grow, and I learned so much. Another way I live my faith is by being a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! I live my faith by studying the scriptures every day, praying, and being trying to follow Jesus Christ. And by sharing the gospel, that means so much to me and has changed my life for the better!
