Hi I'm Nicole

I grew up in Utah, I love being outside, I enjoy good music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the fourth of six children. I just completed my freshman year of college and I'm studying Recreation Therapy. I love helping people the idea of helping people use recreation to navigate their way through life is so incredible to me. I also love music. I sing, play the french horn, and the piano. I enjoy being outside and I love to run, bike, hike, and play frisbee. I love learning about my ancestors and sharing their stories with others. I love to spend time with me and I always enjoy a good, long conversation.

Why I am a Mormon

One of the hardest experiences I have had is the death of one of my best friends. My friend Tori suffered from a terminal illness that slowly deteriorated her nerves. Her mental and physical abilities slowly declined until she slipped into a coma and passed away. Watching her digress and pass away was incredibly difficult for me. I felt so lost and so empty and I had no idea how I would be able to move on. I was certain I would grieve forever. One day, I poured my heart out to the Lord and told him about all the pain I was feeling. I didn't want to forget Tori, but I didn't want to feel the pain anymore. I wanted to feel at peace. Shortly after, I felt a warm wave of peace wash over me. I knew that Tori still lived on, that she loved me, and that she was doing great things in heaven. I also knew that Heavenly Father cared about me and comforted me. I know that Heavenly Father loves all of His children and we are not lost after we die. We will see our loved ones again. That knowledge has me immense peace and comfort. Although I can't see Tori, I often feel her presence and what a beautiful feeling that is. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because of the peace and the comfort is brings me. This life is often very challenging, but I'm so grateful I can find refuge in the church and receive guidance and direction for my life.

How I live my faith

When I was 12-17, I had opportunities to be in youth leadership positions among other Latter-day Saint young women. While in those positions, I was able serve and welcome the Latter-day Saint and non Latter-day saint young women. I had the opportunity to get to know all the young women in our neighborhood and invite them to our various activities and help them feel loved and welcome. I am now a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Being a missionary is a great opportunity for me to teach people about the gospel that has brought me so much joy in my life. I love teaching others how they can experience more peace and joy as well.
