Hi I'm Kiera

I'm a Utahn. I'm an outdoors enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I live in Utah and love hiking, camping, and just being outdoors. I took piano for ten years and I still love to play it, along with the guitar. I taught piano for four years before coming to college to study Environmental Science. I love to spend time with my big extended family. I started up painting when I was in High School and I still love to paint the scenery around me. I might possibly be the Mormon version of a hippie, because the only thing that I love more than the beauties of the Earth is God, the one who created them.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life. My ancestors are pioneers who accepted this gospel and gave up everything so that I could grow up in it. I am so grateful for their sacrifice, because it is the reason that I came to know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My heritage is not the reason that I have stayed in this church, however. I have stayed a member because I know for myself that following the gospel of Christ is what makes me truly happy. I have never felt more peace and direction in my life than when I am following the Lord's commandments and trying to be the best person I can be. I stay because I want to learn more about what I can do to keep this happy feeling in my life. I am serving a mission because I want to spread this happiness to others. This church has been, and will continue to be, a big part of my life.

How I live my faith

Currently, I spend my time in constant preparation for the preaching I will be doing in the next 18 months. I love to learn more about the gospel and I love to teach it to others. I also love to visit others and try to help them feel the love that God has for them. Before my mission, I did this by serving and visiting two women in my ward.
