Hi I'm Meghan

I've lived in six different states, I write for two online publishing companies, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

In high school I loved to sing, dance and write. I took a creative writing class in high school and I loved it so much I decided I wanted to write for my career. I finished my freshman year at college and I hope to be accepted into the Public Relations program after I serve my mission. I love being with people and doing things together. I love going to the beach with my family and going to the temple with my parents.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel because it teaches me about forgiveness for myself and for others. We as humans tend to be judgemental, me included, and it's sometimes hard to forgive someone who has crossed us. By learning about the Savior and his teachings, I have learned that it is better to forgive than to judge and hold a grudge. Sometimes it is easier to forgive others than it is to forgive ourselves. As we try our best to forgive others, Jesus Christ will always forgive us. Once we are able to forgive ourselves we can use the Atonement to our full advantage, and continue on the path to full repentance. This gospel has also taught me that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ truly know and care about each of us. They know my name, and they know yours too. They know where you are living, and what your favorite ice cream flavor is. Whatever you care about, They care about it too. There may be times when we feel discouraged or alone, but we are never truly alone. Jesus Christ, our Savior, successfully completed the Atonement for us. He has gone through what we are expiriencing at this very moment, and because He has felt what we are feeling He wants to help us. His hand is outstretched always, but it is our job to grasp it. My testimony of this gospel has grown immensely since I have attended the temple. The temple is the House of the Lord! How amazing it is that we are able to enter and feel of His presence there! I am able to sit and ponder on the Lord's plan and ask Him questions about what I should be doing here on Earth. I love attending the temple and I know that we can gain knowledge there.

How I live my faith

I love going to church each Sunday; I know when I go I can feel the spirit and learn new things about the gospel. I can listen to others bear testimony about Jesus Christ and my testimony can grow as well. One thing I used to do at church was lead the music- at first it was hard for me to learn the correct time signatures for each song, but the more I practiced the better I got at it. Now it's one of my favorite things to do, and while I am serving those by leading the music, I am also serving Heavenly Father.
