Hi I'm Kailee Kema

I love dancing with my family. I am Hawaiian. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of four children and currently I am back home from finishing my first year of college at Utah State. I am studying Communication Disorders and I hope to work in hospitals with Traumatic Brain Injury and Stroke patients. However, I am also really interested in Global Communications and International Business. I love theater and did it throughout high school and I still love watching shows.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into the church, I had to know for myself whether I wanted to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and this church or not. Throughout my teenage years, I went to a school where the majority of the students were not Mormon. This being the case, I knew that I would have answer the question "Why are you Mormon? What do they believe?" as well as "Why do you dress modestly and don't drink?". While it was hard to find friends who shared my same beliefs, I enjoyed the opportunity of discovering for myself why I believe what I believe. My answer to this question is quite simple actually, it makes me happy. In the scriptures, we read the anything good comes from God. This became apparent to me when I read my scriptures every day but most importantly when I prayed to God. One thing that makes Mormons different than other religions is our understanding of our relationship with Heavenly Father. When I pray more frequently and earnestly I feel lasting joy and my relationships with others flourish.

How I live my faith

I think drawing closer to the Savior daily is extremely important through scripture study, prayer, and going to church. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ so much that I want to share it with others because I know how happy it has made me and my family. I am going to serve a mission in Tokyo, Japan for a year and a half to help others come unto Christ and receive the blessings that this gospel brings.
