Hi I'm Nicole Holbrook

I grew up in Utah and attend college in Michigan. I have been called to serve in the Peru Piura Mission in the Spanish language.

About Me

I have a lot of hobbies because I am not afraid to try new things. My favorite things to do though is to play lacrosse and write. I am currently going to a college in Michigan to obtain my bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in writing; I hope to one day become a veterinarian. One time, I participated in a temple celebration and it was the greatest experience ever. I have been called to serve as a missionary in the Peru Piura mission for eighteen months and I could not be more excited about that.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for several reasons. One reason I continue to follow His gospel is that this religion provides me comfort when no one else can. With past problems, I have been able to constantly turn to my Heavenly Father for forgiveness and comfort, and no matter the situation I was in, Heavenly was always there for me. There are times I felt like I was alone, like I did not matter, however, there was always this feeling that would stand firm and unmoved in my heart and I knew that Heavenly Father had never left my side. I know that He knows and loves each of this children equally and that he will always forgive you if you repent. I know that Heavenly Father never leaves our sides and sends constant counsel through the Holy Ghost to provide us a way back to Him, back to Heaven. Another reason I strongly continue to follow His gospel is that so many things about this gospel makes sense. There are no loopholes, no unanswered questions, and no conflicting ideas. If there is something you do not understand, there are so many resources to turn to in order to find the answer. Heavenly Father will never leave any of his children in the dark. He loves us and He wants to do everything he can to bring his children home. Another thing I love so much about this gospel is the interpretations I get from the gospel. No matter how many times I read the scriptures, I am always amazed by the things that I read and I notice the verses that pertain directly to me when I need them in my life. I could read over a section many times and understand something different each time. Heavenly Father uses the teachings in the scriptures to speak directly too us in our time of need. I know that Heavenly Father knows exactly what we need to be able to continue on our path back to Heaven and I know that when we listen to what we are taught and to what promptings we receive, we will be able to return to our Heavenly Father in heaven.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping Heavenly Father on my mind in everything that I do. I participate in many service project around my community and I frequently help out families who need extra help with house work or babysitting. I had taught the youth between ages eight to eleven when I was in Michigan, and I have held many leadership positions among the young women in my church in the past. I find myself constantly having a prayer in my heart because Heavenly Father provides so much comfort and peace to me even when I am having a really bad day. Daily scripture study is becoming a habit that I am progressively getting into and I see the blessings that Heavenly Father gives with reading the scriptures and studying what they mean. The more I read my scriptures, the more I understand about this gospel.
