Hi I'm Kyira Hartley

I grew up in Canada, I love music and the mountains. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Kyira. I love hiking in the mountains, singing and playing my dad's acoustic, scuba diving, and listening to music. I love playing sports like Rugby, and Soccer, and can definitely get a little bit too intense when watching a Flames game on TV (some good Canadian Hockey) I am 20 years old and a soon to be missionary, called to serve in Sydney, Australia for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I like to laugh and I love spending time with my friends and loving family.

Why I am a Mormon

Simply put, because it is true! And it is good and right, and I know this is Christ's true church restored to the earth, and the true and straight path back to our Father in Heaven. Living the gospel and keeping God's commandments is how we can have peace and happiness in this life, and eternal life in the life to come! I was born and raised in the church by loving parents. Of course this means I learned about the gospel from a young age, but I was never forced into anything. As I grew and experienced friends falling away from the church I began to see how much I wanted and needed the church in my life, of how the standards could keep me safe and happy. I am so grateful to have the gospel in my life. I don't know who I'd be without it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in the small things I do everyday, which affect all other aspects of my life. I do my best to read my scriptures, as I know that through reading and pondering the words in the Bible and The Book of Mormon will result in peace and increased knowledge. Through my readings and prayer I can know that the things I read are true and this brings me so much comfort and happiness. I pray often to my Father in Heaven, I know my prayers are heard and answered, though sometimes maybe not in the way nor in the timing that I'd want for myself, yet I know God has a plan for me and if I trust in Him and do my part, I will be taken care of. As a member of this church I follow the standards and counsel given by our leaders, these
