Hi I'm Jordan Smout

I've lived most of my life in Arizona. I love physical fitness, the gospel, and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have run cross country and track and field for all of high school, along with 2 seasons of wrestling and a season of soccer. Ever since I started sports, physical fitness has been a huge part of my life. It has helped me to become a more well-rounded person, more confident in myself, and to love life. I have been studying Spanish in high school and I have come to love the language and the culture. It is amazing to me to be able to understand and have a connection with others through another language. After high school, I will serve a 2-year, Spanish-speaking mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When I return from my mission I hope to attend Brigham Young University in Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church and couldn't be more grateful for it. My parents have lovingly taught me the principles of the gospel from birth. As I have grown older, I have become more aware of God's love for me and have seen his influence in my life. I continue to live the gospel, but not because I'm supposed to or just because it's a good idea; I know that it is true and it has become a huge part of who I am.

How I live my faith

I live my life every day constantly striving to be a better person; striving to overcome my weaknesses and imperfections. Although I'm not perfect, nor will I ever be in this life, I have the best role model that ever walked this earth who is my Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the perfect example of the type of person we can become and he wants us to follow in his footsteps.
