Hi I'm Alan

I'm an athlete. I love my friends and family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am very physically active. I enjoy playing defense on my football and lacrosse teams for school. I love anything that has to do with the beach; surfing, paddle boarding, snorkeling, beach volleyball, I love it all. I play the ukulele and love learning new songs. I love my family and friends and enjoy spending time with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised in the church my entire life. I was blessed with wonderful parents that were able to teach me about the gospel from a very young age. I am grateful for this, but there came a time when I needed to know for myself if this church is true. I couldn't press on in the gospel if I didn't believe it myself. One day, I decided to pray aloud and ask Heavenly Father all of my questions about the church, and this life, and the Book of Mormon, and everything else I had questions about. I prayed for what seemed like an hour. I was the most sincere and focused I had ever been in speaking to anyone at any time. When my prayer concluded, I felt an overwheming sense of peace and comfort. I could feel God's love all around me and deep into my heart. I received specific answers to my questions. These answers came as thoughts, but I could tell they weren't of my own knowledge; I knew it was Heavenly Father answering my prayer. Since that very special day I have seen God's influence in my life countless times. When it comes down to it, I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because it brings happiness and peace into my life. I am a member because I love my Heavenly Father and I know He loves me too.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to set an example at school and in the rest of my life. I don't participate in the foul language, vulgarity, or rude comments that surround me everyday at school. As a result, I have had the opportunity to explain my beliefs to many of my friends and piers. I do my best to help others in need and include those that are left out. I strengthen my own spirituality by praying and reading my scriptures every single day.
