Hi I'm Emma

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Southern California. I am a convert, having been baptized on June 13, 2015.

About Me

I attend college at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and majoring in Biochemistry. I love to read, watch movies, sketch, hike, and play music. I love dancing to jazz music, as well as going line dancing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father. I did not have a strong connection to religion before I started investigating the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The people of the church welcomed me and supported me when my family opposed my decision to begin attending the Mormon church. I love the peace and love that I feel every day from knowing that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me enough to send His Son to suffer for my salvation. Being baptized into the Mormon church was one of the hardest things for me because my family did not approve and I had to wait until I was 18 years old, but I knew that I had to make this promise to God that I would follow Him always. It is absolutely necessary that by the right authority, I take on the name of Jesus Christ to promise that I will live by His commandments. I am a Mormon because my Heavenly Father loves me.

How I live my faith

I am a Visiting Teacher Supervisor as well as a Visiting Teacher. I reach out to other women in the ward and help to create the feeling of having a ward family. I attend all church activities. I incorporate my faith into my daily life through scripture study, prayer, discussing the gospel with friends, and reading articles from the church.
