Hi I'm Michael

I retired from law enforcement and have been a member of the Church over thirty years. I have a wonderful wife and five boys.

About Me

I am a native Kansan. I am retired form law enforcement. I attended Wichita State university and did my graduate work at Friends university. I enjoy interaction with others and being able to provide assistance when needed. I enjoy exercising several times per week to improve my health. I like to watch the national and local news to improve my understanding of events.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of Church of Jesus Christ of LDS because after being introduced to the Gospel and especially the Book of Mormon I prayed. I received the answer that this religion was true and that I needed to follow it. I have learned where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going after this life. I have a Heavenly Father and a Savior, Jesus Christ who love me I implemented a plan to return to Heavenly Father with my family for eternity.

How I live my faith

I am a volunteer with the American Red Cross to assist in the transporting of staff and blood products weekly basis. I have been blessed to facilitate in the Addiction Recovery Program to help others to come closer to Christ by changing their behaviors. I have spent years working with the youth in various roles in the Church. I have associated with the Boy Scouts of America for over twenty years camping, teaching, and performing many additional duties. As a home teacher I visited families to provide friendship, love, work assistance, spiritual messages. I continually strive to improve my relationship with my Savior through service to others, obeying the commandments, attending Sacrament meetings, and daily scripture study.
