Hi I'm Jenna Pruner

I am a Canadian. I am an artist. I am a mother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of three. Twin girls and a singleton Boy. They are very close in age. Only 16 months seperates their birthdates. They are pre-teens now, so life is much more manageable. I am passionate about a few things in life. My family, Art, My dog ( a Weimeranner) and my faith. Our favorite thing to do as a family is camp at the lake. And the hobby I have most recently taken up is riding a motorcycle. One of my husbands favourite things to do is ride a motorcycle, so he is teaching me. It's a great way to spend a date night.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Mormon faith since I was 16 years old. I was introduced to it by my best friend, and joined by myself without my family. When I started learning about the church I found a lot of peace and direction for my life in the teachings. I love the doctrine about families being eternal and of God the Father being the literal father of my spirit. I love the knowledge that my life has purpose and that I inherit traits from God. I am humbled and awestruck to know that God knows me individually and loves me. That he provides blessings and opportunities, sometimes in the form of trials, to help me learn and grow, so that I can learn to be more like him and hopefully return to him at the end of this life. God knows that I will make mistakes in my journey called life, so he provided a saviour for me. Jesus Christ. Because Jesus was and is perfect he was qualified to take my sins upon himself and provide a way for me to overcome my mistakes. I love my Saviour Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ can see my heart and know my intentions. He is different then the world. He judges us only on our efforts and our intentions. He doesn't care about appearances and "successes". He doesn't care how skinny or rich I am. he doesn't care how far I can run or how good my grades are. He cares about my heart. How hard I try and how many times I pick myself up when I stumble. Jesus Christ was the only perfect man to ever live on earth and he cares about me. And he cares about you too. Learning these truths, has influenced my life in so many wonderful ways. And that is why I continue to call myself a Mormon after nearly 20 years. I am thankful every time I hear a prophet speak and feel my heart touched by Heavenly Father's spirit.

How I live my faith

I currently hold a position at church ( known as a "calling"). My calling is as the second councillor to the Relief Society president. The Relief Society is the organization in the ward that is organized to look after the fellow-shipping and needs of the women of our ward or congregation and community. In extension we are concerned with the needs of their families too. We get many opportunities to do service and consider it the "errand of angels". As the second councillor I lend support to the president of our Relief society. I do this by praying for her and with her, giving council to her about important decisions, teaching the women of the congregation at least once a month and taking responsibility for some aspects and tasks in running the program. My biggest responsibility is planning ( with a commitee ) and overseeing the activities held once a month for the women of our ward. The purpose of these activities are to provide a chance for the women to spend time together learning from each other, serving each other and our community, enjoying each other's company and generally having fun. We want our gatherings to be uplifting, enlightening, and enriching. Last month we had a great activity where we were taught self defence. This month we get to learn how to make spring rolls. Yum!
