Hi I'm John Harris

I teach children with autism, 1st-3rd grade kiddos. Going on 29 years. I play drums in a few bands here in Utah. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My wife and I have four children and a doberman. Our oldest, (our only daughter), and her husband have given us a funny little grandson- And just told us yesterday that he's got a brother on the way! Our oldest son just returned from a mission to Tuscon and the boy just below him is heading to Benin, Africa in August! He'll be speaking French and is so excited for that opportunity! Our youngest son will start high school next year and loves playing music like his dad- Starting to lose his hearing too I think...

Why I am a Mormon

I'm fifty years old, but feel like I learn more about my Heavenly Father's plan for me every day. My membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints gives me opportunities to serve, which brings joy and meaning into my life. (You never really do find yourself until you've lost yourself helping someone else!) My time with the scriptures and hearing the word of God offers clarity and understanding for everything that happens to me and my family. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

My family and I love our ward- Lots of good friends that take great care of each other! I'm currently in the Young Men's presidency and teach the 14-15 year old boys each Sunday. My favorite part of that time together is at the end of each lesson when we kneel in prayer- They're an amazing group of boys. My wife works with the women of our ward as they serve each other by visiting and bringing spiritual messages.
