Hi I'm Lauren

I was born and raised in Southern Utah. I'm a college student, CNA, and soon to be missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of 6 kids, 3 boys and 3 girls. I'm the third in line and the oldest girl. My family is everything to me. They're what make me who I am today. I recently finished the best first year of college in good ol' Rexburg at BYU-IDAHO. I'm a certified nurse's assistant and I plan to further my education in the medical field. I'm a very artsy girl. I love to play the piano, sing, dance, and play the guitar. Music plays a big part in my life and has for as long as I can remember. I'm so grateful for the gifts and talents I've been blessed with. I have a testimony that if they're used for good, God will bless you with more. I also love to snowboard, wake board, hike, travel, and everything else associated with the outdoors. My guilty pleasure is Salt and Vinegar chips. I'm an advocate for trying new things. My favorite time of year is the fall because of all the holidays that bring family together. I was born and raised in the church and I know for myself that it's true. It plays a big part in my life that influences the things I do and the choices I make. I enjoy the simple happy things in life, and with the Gospel, I've found that it helps me maintain a perspective of simplicity, by acknowledging the things that matter most.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it simply brings me hope and happiness. When life gets hard, the gospel is the one thing that I know I can always rely on. Because of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, we are enlightened with the knowledge of being sealed to our families together, not only in this life, but the life hereafter. We are blessed to know that we can repent of our sins because Christ took them upon Himself so that we can be forgiven. I believe that Heavenly Father is aware of us and is concerned for our well being because we are His children and He wants nothing more than for us to return back to Him. And for this reason, He sent His only begotten son to suffer for all of us to make that possible. His plan is perfect. I find comfort in the Gospel knowing that I am never alone. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us perfectly no matter what. It's up to us to turn to them with an open heart to agree to trust and obey their counsel through our living Prophet and apostles; and by doing so, I have a testimony that we will be rewarded with the two things we strive for in this life; never ending happiness and love.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday and participating in the meetings throughout the day including some throughout the week. I also read my scriptures everyday and try to begin and end the day in prayer. I think it's important that we thank God for all that He was given us, but also to invite Him into our lives, so that we can receive guidance from Him. Heavenly Father will hear and answer our prayers if only we ask. I live my faith by attending the temple often. I'm currently serving as an ordinance worker in the temple once a week. I do not get paid to do this. The LDS church fulfills its church duties by calling or volunteer. It's a church of service. I feel so privileged to work in the temple each week. It's a good reminder for me to stay worthy to enter such a beautiful sacred place. Another way that I live my faith is by paying my tithing. This is done by donating 10% of my total income. I do this to show my love for God by being obedient to His commandments, but I do so with a willing heart because I know the blessings that come from it are worth every penny and more. I also strive to live my faith by serving others. I believe that to help others come to know Christ, you need to be Christlike yourself. I've received my call to serve as a full time Missionary in the England London South Mission to invite others to come unto Christ and to do as He did by teaching others about God's perfect plan for them and their purpose here on earth.
